Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Richmond, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of hospital setting experience.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit located in the main hospital building in Richmond, VA
• 44-bed rehab unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Unit staffed with 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
• Procedures include manual therapy for neuro re-ed, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-ed, self-care, and functional e-stim
• Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotating weekends
• May float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hospital setting experience required, with inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Recent active experience in occupational therapy within the last 6 months required
• Stroke evaluation and treatment experience required
• Active OT license required where applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
• AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices are expected
• Preferred dress code is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
