We’re Looking For A(n): Data Analyst II Location: Onsite (Chatsworrh, CA) What You’ll Be Doing: The Data Analyst II - Retail Distribution & 3PL Operations, supports the operational performance of an omni-channel pet product distribution network, with primary focus on operational reporting and analytics, situational analysis, and continuous improvement. This role transforms logistics, inventory, order, transportation, and customer data into actionable reporting and insights that monitor and improve delivery performance, inventory management, distribution efficiency, capacity management, and cost performance for a DTC and retail fulfillment network. The Data Analyst II works cross-functionally with warehouse operations, supply chain partners, service providers, customer service, IT, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. This data focused role will work to identify, root-cause, and resolve operational issues through the implementation, testing, and validation of reporting and process workflow solutions. Additionally, this position reviews shipment materials prior to distribution and collaborates with transportation and supply chain teams to ensure timely pick-ups and expedited shipments. Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that measure fulfillment, transportation, inventory, retailer compliance, delivery performance, cost, and distribution center capacity. Analyze operational and transportation data to identify performance gaps, quantify and prioritize improvement opportunities, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend practical solutions. Support inventory planning, replenishment, capacity planning, and demand analysis while resolving inventory discrepancies in partnership with Sales Operations and other stakeholders. Validate and troubleshoot data across ERP, warehouse management, and reporting systems to ensure information is accurate, consistent, and reliable. Coordinate with distribution centers, supply chain teams, vendors, and transportation providers to plan, schedule, and track inbound, outbound, and transfer shipments. Optimize shipping schedules and load consolidation to improve vehicle utilization, reduce empty miles, control costs, and support on-time delivery. Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales Operations to implement process improvements and present actionable findings and performance trends to management. Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.): Inventory Accuracy Fulfillment Operations KPIs Continuous Improvement in Cost and Performance Freight Cost Performance Retailer Compliance Scores Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness Process Improvement Recommendations Preferred Education Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. 3-4 years of experience in data analysis, industrial engineering, logistics, distribution, or supply chain. Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data visualization. Experience with PowerBI, google scripts, SQL, and AI prompting Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment. Preferred Experience Retail distribution, warehouse, logistics, or 3PL operations. ERP and WMS systems such as NetSuite, Deposco, Logiwa, SAP, or similar platforms. Reporting for major retail customers including Walmart, PetSmart, Petco, Amazon, or Chewy. The base salary range is $34.62hr-$43.27hr, plus bonus potential. The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis.
