Your Future Role At A GlanceLocation: Wichita, KSFacility: Via Christi Hospital, St. FrancisDepartment: Emergency DepartmentSchedule: Night Shift | Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 7:00pm-7:00am, rotating weekends and holidaysVia Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University.How You'll Make An Impact In This RoleProvide basic and advanced life support treatment, care and evaluation of patients.Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse.Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate.Provide population specific education to the patient and family about the patient's illness and therapeutic interventions.Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public.What Minimum Requirements You'll NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date OR job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.Paramedic credentialed from the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS) required.Advanced Life Support preferred.
