QA Lead - Cyber Data Platform Testing

What you'll own
Lead QA strategy and execution across a cybersecurity data warehouse built on Databricks. You'll own test planning, data validation, and defect management end to end, and you'll be the one building the testing function, not just plugging into one.

Core responsibilities

Build and run test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, and transformations across cyber data domains
Validate source-to-target accuracy through reconciliation and data integrity testing
Run functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing
Design and stand up automated testing frameworks from scratch, this platform doesn't have one yet
Partner with data engineering, governance, and security teams to define test scenarios and confirm solutions meet requirements
Track defects through resolution and validate fixes before production release
Troubleshoot data and reporting issues, drive root cause analysis and remediation
Validate dashboards and reporting outputs for accuracy
Report on QA metrics, defect trends, and release readiness to leadership
Keep testing documentation audit-ready for compliance and regulatory review
Set the QA standards and best practices for the platform going forward

What you bring

8+ years in QA, data testing, or ETL/ELT testing
Hands-on Databricks experience: Delta Tables, notebook workflows, pipeline jobs, API integrations
5+ years leading QA for enterprise data warehouse or lakehouse platforms
Strong SQL and Spark SQL for validation and root-cause work
Python, PySpark, Pandas for test automation and data profiling
API testing experience (Postman or similar)
SDLC, Agile, and CI/CD fluency
Regulated industry background a plus (financial services, cyber, risk)

Nice to have

Power BI testing experience
Exposure to cyber domains like IAM, PAM, vulnerability management, threat detection
Collibra or data governance/lineage exposure
pytest, Great Expectations, dbt testing, or Selenium
