Medical Lab Technologist: Chemistry

Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technologist for Chemistry in Houston to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, operate analytical instrumentation, and ensure accurate patient results. The position works nights (9 pm–5:30 am, Tuesday–Saturday) in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls; document quality control procedures
• Generate accurate and timely test results; make technical decisions for problem-solving
• Maintain safe work environment and manage testing supplies as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
