Join VCA Midwest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center in Omaha, NE. We are expanding our Neurology service and seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team.

Schedule: Full-time, 4 x 10-hour shifts, MondayThursday.

Compensation: $24$32/hr. The starting pay is based on licensure, skill set, and years of experience.

Responsibilities

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you'll work closely with our neurologists to provide exceptional patient care throughout the diagnostic and treatment process.

• Assist with neurological examinations and patient assessments
• Prepare patients for MRI, CT, and advanced diagnostic procedures
• Monitor anesthesia and recover patients following diagnostic imaging and surgery
• Assist with neurosurgical procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
• Monitor hospitalized neurology patients and recognize changes in condition
• Educate and support clients throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with specialists and technicians across multiple departments to deliver outstanding patient care
