Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of experience required License: State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience - Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS - Ability to manage dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Experience with arterial line management and central line care/management - Proficiency in continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips - Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients - Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform suctioning (ETT, NT) - Familiarity with isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) - Must be willing to travel beyond a 50-mile radius Description: Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. The position requires working three 12-hour night shifts each week. Candidates must have a minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience. Local candidates will not be accepted for this position. The role necessitates several essential skills and certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. The nurse will be responsible for the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure is required. Arterial line management and central line care and management are key responsibilities. Candidates should be comfortable with continuous IV sedation and titrating cardiac drips. BiPAP and CPAP management, as well as care of ventilated patients, are also required. The role includes interpretation of arterial blood gases and appropriate suctioning techniques. Adherence to isolation precautions and appropriate use of PPE is essential.
