Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Apple Grove, WV Pay: $25–$35/hour, based on experience Schedule: 50+ hours per week | 10-hour shifts | Day & Night Shifts Available Assignment: Approximately 3 months | Possible Temp-to-Hire | Possible Temporary Assignment Through Approximately JanuaryAbout the OpportunityA reputable company with a growing operation in Apple Grove, WV is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team.This is a highly skilled mechanical maintenance position and is not an entry-level opportunity. We are looking for experienced mechanical professionals with strong hands-on skills and the ability to work with industrial equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and precision measuring tools.Do You Have Skilled Mechanical Experience?If you have experience as a Millwright, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or in another skilled mechanical trade, you may be a great fit for this opportunity!Relevant experience may include:MillwrightMechanical Maintenance TechnicianDiesel MechanicIndustrial Maintenance TechnicianOther skilled mechanical maintenance backgroundsWhat You'll DoThe Mechanical Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are properly assembled, set up, maintained, and ready for operation.Responsibilities include:Manage the Segment Mold Shop.Check alignments.Check bearings.Check rollers.Perform QC inspections.Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, and assemble hydraulic equipment.Lubricate mechanical equipment and perform welding repairs when necessary.Adjust equipment for proper operating gears, bearings, and shafts involving the application of press, sliding, and running fits.Operate simple machine tools, including drill presses, pipe-threading machines, power saws, and similar equipment.Perform mechanical repairs on cranes and mobile equipment.Lay out, install, maintain, and repair pipelines, fittings, fixtures, and pressure systems.Repair leaks in hydraulic systems.Remove and install complete operating components, including cylinders, oil motors, four-way valves, and check valves, and make necessary repairs.Change, set up, and adjust equipment as required by operating conditions.Utilize required computer systems for planning, executing, and reporting.Utilize mechanical and electronic diagnostic equipment, computer equipment, and a variety of precision instruments as necessary.Perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed.Team EnvironmentWork in a team setting and complete tasks in groups.A designated Lead will provide instructions and direction to associates.The Lead is responsible for paperwork and record keeping.What We're Looking ForMechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical training.Fluent English language skills.5+ years of experience in a steelmaking plant, with arc furnace, casting, or rolling maintenance experience.Knowledge of mechanical equipment.Ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&IDs.Skilled in the use of tools.Knowledge of measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.Certification in forklift, various overhead cranes, man-lifts/scissor lifts, and other mobile equipment is preferred.Pre-Employment Screening RequirementsHair follicle drug screen10-panel urine drug screenAlcohol breath testBackground check requiredWhy Apply?$25–$35/hour based on experience50+ hours per week10-hour shiftsDay & Night Shifts AvailableApproximately 3-month assignmentPossible Temp-to-Hire opportunityPossible temporary assignment through approximately JanuaryWork at a reputable company's facility in Apple Grove, WVWork in a team-oriented environmentOpportunity to utilize your skilled mechanical maintenance experienceReady to Put Your Skills to Work?If you're an experienced Millwright, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or skilled mechanical professional looking for your next opportunity, we want to hear from you!If you have the hands-on mechanical experience and technical skills this position requires, apply today!
