Senior DentistHiring Range $190,403.20 to $266,558.93Pay Range $190,403.20 to $304,636.80Summary of Job Responsibilities:The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Senior Dentist is responsible for a broad range of duties in partnering with customer-owners in the treatment of dental diseases and establishment of oral health. In addition to direct clinical care, the Senior Dentist is responsible for mentoring and coaching staff assigned to them on the Nuka System of Care.Qualifications:SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:Graduate of a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).Pediatric Dentists or Orthodontists must complete a CODA-accredited advanced dental education program in the appropriate specialty.Licensed in the State of Alaska as one of the following:General DentistDental Specialty – Orthodontics and Dentofacial OrthopedicsDental Specialty – Pediatric DentistryCompletion of an approved residency training program required for specialty dentistry positions. Must be Board certified or Board eligible.Two (2) years of experience as a Dentist, Pediatric Dentist, or Orthodontist OR demonstrated proficiency as a Dentist, Pediatric Dentist, or Orthodontist at SCF.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and certification relating to the scope of practice if required.Employee Health Requirements:To protect the health of customer-owners and employees, Southcentral Foundation (SCF) requires health screenings and immunizations for all new and current employees.
