Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities Performing set‑up and installation of equipment, instrumentation, cable routing, soldering, and checkout before, during, and after the test. Support the maintenance, installation, and repair of test equipment to maximize operational availability. Document test procedures and installations. Provide guidance with data calculation when applicable. Understand OEM test request for upcoming test instrumentation required for test article. Assemble instrumentation required and make placards for test article Qualifications Preferred Education & Experience: AAS or Bachelors in related discipline 3+ years in related discipline or; A combination of education and experience equivalent to above Preferred Knowledge / Abilities: Troubleshooting mechanicalor electrical problems Electrical and electronic principles Perform operations and execute moderately complex test procedures for engineering, scientific, or real‑time data acquisition Read and understand engineering plans and specifications Read drawings and troubleshoot Microsoft Office Why join Calspan?
