Shipping Jockey Driver

Job Title

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: moving and spotting trailers from cooling shed and other areas to the receiving line or in shipping areas; move offal trailers when needed; keep the area clean; perform checklist daily on tractor.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Supports Allen Harim's mission, vision and values
• Operate Yard Truck in a safe manner during numerous roll-on/roll-off procedures daily involving loaded and empty containers.
• Drive and operate vehicle under 15 mph in and around the plant and storage lot/staging area.
• Be cognizant of the reality that the operation is a low mileage severe duty function requiring particular attention to preventive maintenance checks and services as well as actual scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Moving and spotting trailers from the cooling shed to the receiving line.
• Move trailers when needed
• Responsible for keeping the area neat and free of any debris.
• Other duties as assigned

Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must have a valid driver license

Experience with two way radios

Experience with driving tractor trailers a plus

Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent Communication Skills

Knowledge of tractor trailers

Excellent attention to detail
