What You'll Do:
- Provide management coverage as the manager-on-duty, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to standards when store leaders are offsite.
- Uphold and reinforce company policies and procedures (animal care, safety, cleanliness, and security) to deliver a consistent, high-quality neighbor experience.
- Perform operational tasks such as signage, price changes, and cashier record updates to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and supporting the development of team members through coaching and daily reinforcement of store expectations.
- Drive social media content, liaison to marketing team, support local events and community outreach.
What We're Looking For:
- Genuine passion for pets and interest in pet care and nutrition
- Strong communication, leadership, and attention-to-detail skills
- 2+ years of retail experience with leadership potential
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays
About LH Mercantile:
LH Mercantile, LLC is a franchisee of Pet Supplies Plus that currently has 16 locations throughout the Chicago suburbs and Northwest Indiana. We offer self-service pet washes and full-service grooming and provide curbside pickup, delivery, and autoship services. We offer a wide selection of food, supplies and accessories for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and small animals. However, we're mostly proud of our knowledgeable team, who love pets and are eager to help pet parents.
