Senior Claims Specialist – Commercial E&O Locations: Atlanta, GA; New York, NY; Stamford, CT; Hartford, CT Responsibilities Using independent analysis and expertise to determine the case strategy for assigned claims and take all necessary steps to achieve the best outcome. Partnering with internal and external counsel and pursuing effective and cost‑efficient litigation strategies for claims in litigation. Employing a problem‑solving approach to claims handling by identifying issues as they arise and proposing solutions to the same, seeking guidance and discussion from management as appropriate. Producing internal reporting and ensuring that reserves are set according to best practice guidelines. Coordinating and managing communication with internal colleagues and key external stakeholders (clients, brokers, reinsurers, vendors, etc.) to provide the highest level of customer service. Identifying, monitoring and reporting on emerging liability and coverage trends. You will report to a Commercial E&O Manager. Qualifications Law degree. Passion for results: approaches tasks proactively and anticipates needs, thinks quickly and prioritizes multiple work streams without sacrificing quality, acts with a sense of urgency. A willingness to ask questions and explore new ideas, eagerness to learn, and focus on continuously improving technical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact internally and externally with senior management and business partners. Handles responsibilities with integrity and the highest standards of professionalism. Seeks input from others as needed to achieve the best result possible, working collaboratively with in‑person and virtual teams. Moderate to advanced experience managing third‑party professional liability claims as a claims handler with demonstrated experience in analyzing and evaluating insurance coverage issues and drafting coverage correspondence. Significant past experience in the practice of law prior to claims handling. Active adjuster license. U.S. base salary range: USD 105,300‑184,400.
