On the Rocks Italian Bistro is looking for positive, eager to serve, and detail-oriented individuals for our back-of-the-house service team. As an OTR team-member your purpose will be two-fold: (1) to give every guest a multi-sensory experience that makes them come back for more, often; AND (2) be an effective part of a service team that produces a satisfactory product every single time.

We currently have a need for a Kitchen Lead Line Cook for the BOH team. Please see more about the position below:

Chef de Tournant/ Kitchen Lead

Reports To Executive Sous Chef / Executive Chef

Job Type [Full-Time/Part-Time]

Location On The Rocks Italian Bistro, LLC.

Position Summary

As our Chef de Tournant , also known as the Swiss army knife. You'll be the versatile backbone of the kitchen, stepping in wherever needed. You'll rotate between stations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all areas. If you love variety, thrive under pressure, and have a well-rounded skill set, this role is perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities

■  Step into different kitchen stations as needed to maintain smooth operations.

■  Execute menu items according to established standards.

■  Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating across various sections.

■  Support station chefs during peak service times.

■  Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company standards.

■  Help with inventory management and stock rotation.

■  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

■  Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.

■  Work closely with the Executive and Sous Chefs to adapt to kitchen needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

■  Proven experience as a Chef de Tournant , Line Cook, Kitchen Manager or similar role.

■  Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred but not required.

■  Strong understanding of various kitchen stations and cooking techniques.

■  Ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to different roles in the kitchen.

■  Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

■  Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

■  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

■  Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.

■  Manager Food Handlers.

■  TABC Certification.

We hope to officially open our doors by September 1st, and plan to hire members for the Back-of-House team by the end of July. Front-of-House team members will be hired by mid-August.
