Parking Attendant

As a member of our Parking Team at The Oncenter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, direction, and control of traffic in our parking lot and covered garage, greeting guests as they park, and selling parking tickets for facility events and/or day parkers.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Greet guests and sell tickets while always maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
• Collect payments from guests either entering or exiting the facility(ies).
• Count and verify number of tickets assigned and reconcile at end of shift.
• Direct traffic to parking spots as needed.
• Provide security services and report all incidents appropriately.
• Be present and alert at all times while on duty.
• Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers, including radio contact.
• Clean up trash and other debris around facility(ies) as needed.
• Maintain predictable and reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1+ year in a guest services role.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Skills and abilities:

• Strong mathematical skills.
• Self-starter and able to operate under minimal supervision to accomplish work tasks.
• Excellent hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Some knowledge of radio communication.
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical demands:

• Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• This position may require you to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Position requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 25 lbs+, and occasional sitting.
