Field Service Technician I - Mokena, IL (PM Shift)

Your Role at Baxter The Field Service Technician I will perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. This position requires operating a fleet vehicle in a safe manner, providing 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. Your team The field service team works within hospital and service setting environments to repair medical devices. What You’ll Do Perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair of assigned products. Use appropriate tools to make required adjustments and repairs. Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits. Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1680 pounds. Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract. Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck. What You’ll Bring Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and driving record. Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Preferred Qualifications Technical or Trade School training. DOT physical card (assistance provided). Experience with FDA regulated products. Experience in customer service. Safety Requirements Must wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves and protective clothing. Frequently work in environments where biohazards could be present; e.g., hospitals, service centers, and depots. Compensation The salary range for this position is $43,200-$59,400.
