Lead Utility Engineer and Engineering Officer

Lead Utility Engineer Lead Utilities Engineer serves as an Engineer of Record for Exodigo's US operations, owning the technical integrity and quality of subsurface utility maps from creation through client delivery. This individual contributor brings deep expertise in US engineering standards, serving as the final technical decision-maker on map accuracy while working closely with Operations, Mapping, Sales, and Client teams. They combine strong engineering judgment with a client-facing mindset, confidently representing Exodigo's work in delivery meetings and staying current with evolving industry trends and standards. Key Responsibilities Serve as theengineering decision-maker forsubsurface utilitymap creation dilemmas, ensuringoptimaltechnical outcomes aligned with project and product goals. RepresentExodigoin client-facing settings,participatingin meetings to explain and answer questions related to mapping outputs and engineering considerations. Serve as managing agent (or functional equivalent) asExodigo’sengineer of recordin holding state engineering firm licenses. Develop deepexpertisein theExodigotech stack anduse that knowledge to inform engineering decisions and trade-offs. Takefull ownership of the quality of final deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to engineering standards. Analyze and design utility systems for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration withExodigo’score product. Create and review conceptual utility plans, proposing optimized engineering solutions that minimize project disruption. Ensure compatibility and compliance with CAD formats and deliverables specific to utility engineering. Conduct QA/QC processes across deliverables, focusing on improving accuracy and logical integrity throughout all project phases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering decisions with advanced mapping and AI-driven technologies. Stayhighlyup to date with utility engineering standards, conventions, and industry changes, and apply them in daily work. Requirements Bachelor’s or master'sdegree in civil engineering Mustpossessa Professional Engineering (PE) License 7-10years of experience in SUE (Subsurface Utility Engineering), preferably on complex infrastructure projects Strong familiarity withutility engineering standards and best practices, with a commitment to continuous learning in this domain ProficiencyinAutodeskand/or Bentley Systems, and GIS, with strong skills in CAD formats and engineering deliverables Ability to deeply understand and work within atechnology-driven environment (AI/mapping platforms preferred) Strong analytical thinking and engineering judgment, especially in ambiguous or complex scenarios Experience with QA/QC processes anda strong senseof ownership over deliverable quality Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage directly with clients Team player with high attention to detail anda strong senseof responsibility Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 Location: Remote with preference for candidate to sit on the East Coast Exodigo encourages applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds.
