We are seeking a highly motivated, positive, and professionalExpanded Duties Dental Assistant, EDDA,to join ourRisasFamily.Our EDDAs are empowered to be more independent chairside when educating patients on dental treatment and oral health. Our EDDAsworkhands onwith the doctors,inprovidingexceptionalcare for our patientswhile working efficiently to maintain patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctors at chair-side with all aspects of dental treatment
• Performs advanced dental assisting treatment including coronal polish, sealants, crown prep, denture impressions and adjustments, packing cord, and Class II fillings
• Sterilize,disinfect,and prepareinstruments andequipmentfor patienttreatment
• Educate patients on general oral healthcare asdirected by thedoctor
• Presenting treatment to patients based onDoctorrecommendations
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients in an efficient and timely manner
• Record patient charting and all the doctor's notes in the digital patient chart asdirected
• Provides continuous support, training, and feedback to teammates
• Store and maintains inventory and adequate supplies in all dental work areas
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)
• Perform additional advanced duties as requested by Doctors or Office Manager

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish/English
• High School Diploma or GEDrequired
• EDDA Certificationpreferred
• 3years' experiencein the dental field preferred
• X-ray certification
• Coronal polish certification
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be highly skilled, trained, and have superior knowledge of dental clinical operationsandterminology
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor andpatients
• Must haveawarm,friendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment and lendsupport, as a team player,to teammatesas needed.
