Sina Coach is a growing charter bus company based in Southern California, operating a mixed fleet of motor coaches across the West Coast.
We are seeking an experienced, hardworking, and dependable Motor Coach / Heavy-Duty Bus Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet and keep all vehicles safe, compliant, and road-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair motor coaches and heavy-duty vehicles
- Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, electrical, and emissions systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections
- Diagnose fault codes using professional diagnostic tools and software
- Inspect tires and coordinate outside repairs when needed
- Work with drivers and dispatch to identify problems and prioritize repairs
- Confirm vehicles are safe and ready before returning them to service
- Maintain repair records and communicate vehicle status to management
- Order parts and help maintain parts inventory
- Respond to occasional local roadside service situations
- Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized
- Ensure vehicles meet CHP, DMV, DOT, and CARB requirements
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Flexible daily schedule based on dispatch times, vehicle availability, and maintenance needs
- Daily start and end times may vary
- Daytime or evening availability may be required
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working on buses, motor coaches, or heavy-duty trucks
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
- Experience with Cummins, Volvo, Freightliner, Prevost, MCI, or similar platforms is a plus
- Experience with DPF, DEF/SCR, and emissions systems preferred
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize fleet readiness
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
- Own basic tools preferred
