Sanitation Technician

Sanitation Technician Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, dishes, and other equipment within the facility. Ensures all areas are sanitized and presentable, maintaining safe and orderly conditions as directed. Will work a flexible schedule. Duties and Responsibilities Perform cleaning based on current SOPs to ensure all areas and equipment are ready to meet pre‑operations goals, including cleaning all dishes, floors, walls, sinks, tables, emptying trash containers, refilling pest control stations, and inspecting and maintaining equipment. Maintain records to track inventory and sanitation supplies. Stay current on new equipment and sanitation techniques to enhance overall quality and cleanliness of the facilities. Communicate effectively and respond to questions or suggestions from various levels within the company. Notify manager of all repairs, preventive maintenance, and upkeep issues on all equipment through daily inspections; report conditions or practices that may affect food or product safety, quality, or personnel safety. Conduct routine service and maintenance on sanitation equipment (e.g., assemble and disassemble sweepers, scrubbers). Operate sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers, and other custodial equipment. Mix and use chemicals related to cleaning and sanitizing equipment. Assist in production jobs as needed. Understand and adhere to company processes, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs), and safety practices. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs. Qualifications Experience with sanitation tools and chemicals, food safety, and safe operation of standard sanitation equipment. Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions with common sense and understanding. Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack; experience in Jira or other management platforms preferred. Effective communication in English, both verbal and written. Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Occasional travel required between buildings and sites. Ability to maintain and manage confidential information. State regulations require all applicants to be 19 years of age or older. WorkSafe, ServSafe, or Food Handler’s Card preferred. Required to submit to a background check. Must obtain all applicable state‑required permits, licenses, and certifications. Benefits Hourly rate of $22.00 - $26.55, paid biweekly.
