Manufacturing Engineer 3 Onto Innovation

Job Summary & Responsibilities Product Engineer (Mfg) (Levels 1 through 6): Manages new product introduction and production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production. Interfaces with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems. Develops and sustains process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in assembly lines, workflows, and production methods to increase efficiency and quality. Production Support: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, including robotics, PLCs, and tooling. Documentation: Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), flowcharts, and technical documentation. New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with design teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable (Design for Manufacturability). Cost & Quality Management: Analyze production costs, reduce waste (Lean), and implement quality control protocols to meet specifications. Safety Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations and standards.
