Maintenance Specialist

Facilities Maintenance TechnicianMaintains operating condition of buildings and equipment, and completes simple repairs. Utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and cooling skills in performing assignments. Operates common hand or power tools. Usually requires 2 years of relevant experience.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesMaintains and repairs equipmentResponsible for building and pool issuesFollows schedule/checklist as closely as possible, but stays flexible to variancesRecords on schedule the times tasks are completedCleans, dusts, mops, etc.Takes ownership of areas of responsibilitySchedules work and is aware of the member traffic in the working area to minimize member inconveniencePerform all task in a flexible manor when ever possible as not to interfere with normal businessResponsible for cleaning up areas worked in and equipment usedMaintain a check list for all assigned equipment/tools and replace any lost equipment/tools at specialist expenses as dictated by the Facilities DirectorAttends department meetings as scheduledOther duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesCreative and inventive in developing ways to make job more efficientMust be able to work independentlyMust be punctual, thorough and have a great work ethicRequired Education, Certifications And ExperienceExperience in cleaning is helpfulCPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
