About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Weekdays Hours per Shift: 12 hours, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Experience: 24 months of dialysis experience, including inpatient experience; acute dialysis experience required; tele reads experience required; experience using Fresenius machines required; hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis experience preferred License: Active Iowa or compact multistate license required Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have: 24 months of current dialysis experience Professional reference from within the last 24 months Skills checklist specific to dialysis Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license. Employee separation policy applies; individuals who have worked for the organization in any capacity within the past 12 months may have restrictions. Contractors may be required to work 1-2 of the upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Patient types include remote tele, ICU patients on dialysis, including AKI and ESRD. Patient ratios are 2:1. The unit uses Fresenius 2008T machines for hemodialysis and Baxter Homechoice Claria-PD for peritoneal dialysis. Travelers will be required to float across multiple campuses. Scrubs must be navy blue, solid color. Weekend shifts will be scheduled every third weekend, including on-call rotations. Professional references should come from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months.
