Labor and Delivery experience
LDRPS experience

Description:
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
Utilizes the nursing process in caring for assigned patients.
Completes assessments and individualizes plans of care within established guidelines.
Carries out nursing care with consideration for cultural and psychosocial factors.
Organizes, prioritizes, and performs nursing skills appropriate for the patient population.
Anticipates patient and unit needs.
Demonstrates a sound knowledge base, including bio-psychosocial factors.
Delegates and communicates effectively and appropriately.
Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing situations.
Documents steps of the nursing process and care accurately.
Records data concisely, consistently, accurately, and legibly.
Utilizes correct medical terminology and abbreviations.
Addresses problems and progress toward outcomes according to policy.
Facilitates patient education and discharge planning.
Makes timely and appropriate referrals.
Utilizes resources in planning and presenting patient education.
Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate.
Supports unit and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities.
Attends mandatory in-services and meets education standards.
Accurately completes variance reports.
Makes independent decisions in planning and executing nursing operations.
Works directly with patients and/or customers.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
