Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Progressive Care Unit required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: IV start experience Telemetry experience required Experience managing cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and insulin drips Description: Weekdays and some weekends required. Rotating holidays included. Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Estimated patient ratios are 1:3 to 1:4. Experience in Progressive Care Unit is required. Must have skills in IV start, telemetry, and cardiac drip management. Wide variety of patient diagnoses, including renal, hepatology, cardiology, and pulmonology. Specialize in care for adult cystic fibrosis patients. Interdisciplinary support includes teams for IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Must be aware of the urgency of credentialing processes. Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or supervisor.
