PHYSICIAN - Internal Medicine - Detroit Lakes, MN

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

Join another internist and 6 FP physicians in a beautiful lakefront community of 10,000. Primarily office‑based practice in space connected to the hospital. Option to follow and treat hospitalized patients or refer them back to a hospitalist after discharge.

Anticipated weekly work schedule: 8‑5, Monday‑Friday plus call rotation. Back‑up call (by phone only) filtered by ARNP or PA. Anticipated volume of office patients per day: 15‑22.

Provide internal medicine support to the hospitalist covering an 8‑bed ICU and 16‑bed medical/surgical unit in the only hospital in the county. Average daily census: ICU = 4; MSP = 15.

REQUIREMENTS

• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine

LOCATION

Centrally located in the heart of the Lakes Area on scenic Detroit Lake. 1 hour from Fargo (international airport/shopping) and 3 hours from Minneapolis/St.Paul, MN.

Detroit Lakes population: 10,000. Excellent school system and reasonable home costs. Abundant family outdoor recreational activities year‑round.

NHSC LOAN REPAYMENT SITE

Approved NHSC loan repayment site.

COMPENSATION

Base salary: $339,106. Eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production‑based compensation.
