Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Role The Cardiovascular OR RN provides specialized nursing care in the surgical setting, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. They assess patients' needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and adhere to evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines. Responsibilities Recognize and address patients' physical and psychological needs, maintain continuity of care, assist with patient assessments upon admission, and operate complex equipment with manual dexterity. They communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, especially during emergencies, and transport patients and supplies safely. Qualifications & Skills BSN from an accredited program, current Colorado RN license or equivalent, BLS certification (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate), and at least one year of cardiothoracic nursing experience preferred. Ability to read labels, operate monitors, and navigate busy environments is essential. Key Duties Deliver compassionate patient care, ensure safety standards, participate in team collaboration, and maintain accurate documentation.
