RN, Med-Surg (Full-Time, Night Shift)

Job Description Located in a tight‑knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. We are a 173‑bed hospital with many outpatient clinics offering primary and specialty care services. Job Summary Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Job Requirements Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred Acute care facility experience - Preferred Licenses/Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice - Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy - Required Facility Specific License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy - Required Essential Functions Collect relevant data pertaining to the patient’s health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborate with the patient, family, and other healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
