Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly processed, sterilized, and ready for use in surgical procedures. The technician will collaborate closely with the surgical team to maintain the highest standards of sterile technique and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Prep and process surgical instruments and equipment for sterilization.
• Perform high-level disinfection and sterilization procedures.
• Assemble and wrap surgical instrument sets according to established protocols.
• Document equipment and sterilization processes accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards for sterile processing.
• Utilize various sterilization methods, including steam sterilization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing.
• CST certification required (NBSTSA, CSPDT, or CBSPD certification accepted, but not both).
• Experience with medical charting systems, specifically Epic.
