Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the pharmacy department, including staff supervision, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding pharmacy operations
• Oversee medication distribution, inventory control, and formulary management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication safety
• Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services and outcomes
• Manage hiring, training, and performance evaluations of pharmacy personnel

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy, preferably in a hospital environment
• Thorough knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices in a hospital setting
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans effectively
• Pharmacy licensure as required by the state of Texas
