Head of SEC Reporting About the Company Acclaimed manufacturer of industrial & automotive/mobility products Industry Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Director of Accounting and Reporting to lead the preparation and filing of all external financial documents, including SEC filings, and to provide US GAAP technical accounting guidance for the group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the consolidated financial statements, monthly accounting close, financial consolidation and reporting, and ensuring SOX compliance and internal controls. This role also involves overseeing a team, managing the financial systems, and driving the implementation of global accounting standards and policies. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, a CPA, and at least 10 years of professional experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in public accounting at the Big 4 and experience in SEC reporting for a manufacturing company. Applicants for the Director of Accounting and Reporting position at the company should possess a comprehensive understanding of GAAP, financial reporting principles, and SOX. Experience with HFM and SAP is highly preferred. The role requires the ability to act as an advisor on technical issues, excellent analytical and project management skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure. The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask with limited supervision. Strong communication skills, a business-minded approach, and a strong team player mentality are essential. The role also involves a significant amount of travel and a willingness to relocate to Europe in the future is highly preferred, as the individual will be groomed to become the Chief Accounting Officer.
