Work Environment
This position allows for remote work, providing flexibility in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You will primarily serve a school-based population located in Moses Lake, Washington. The remote setup includes regular virtual consultations, making it imperative for you to be comfortable and proficient in utilizing digital tools for assessments and therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive virtual mental health assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and formulate actionable treatment plans tailored to each individual's specific goals.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities that adhere to best practices in mental health care.
Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals, including school administrators, teachers, and psychologists, to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to each student's well-being.
Maintain accurate client records, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards, alongside regular progress updates that reflect the evolving treatment strategies.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and employ evidence-based practices to enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions provided to clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will primarily focus on children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health issues—including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. By addressing these concerns within a school setting, you will contribute significantly to the students’ academic success and emotional growth. Understanding the unique pressures that students face, including social, academic, and familial factors, will be crucial in your approach as a compassionate clinician.
Qualifications
Hold a current and valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) credential in the state of Washington.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in mental health counseling, preferably within youth-focused settings.
Demonstrable understanding of various mental health issues, treatment modalities, and healthcare practices.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues in the virtual environment.
Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies that foster positive, equitable outcomes for all clients.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working within school systems or engaging with students in an educational context.
Familiarity with online therapeutic platforms and tools that enhance client engagement during virtual sessions.
Previous involvement in interdisciplinary teams, showcasing the ability to collaborate effectively across different mental health specialties.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent upon caseload and relevant experience, ensuring recognition of your skills and dedication.
