Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 8-hour and 12-hour shifts; weekend rotation and call required

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub surgical cases in a high-volume operating room environment with 23 suites averaging 75 cases per day
• Support Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma surgical cases as primary specialties
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call rotation in accordance with unit call expectations
• Work variable shift lengths including 8-hour weekday shifts and 12-hour weekend shifts as scheduled
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with charge nurses and surgical team members across assigned call centers

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Current BLS certificationExperience circulating and/or scrubbing Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Ability to fulfill call requirements: 3–4 weeknight call shifts and 1 weekend call shift per 4-week period with a 45-minute call response time
• Must be available for an ASAP start with an end date no later than June 1st

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Scrubbing experience is a bonus, though not required
• Experience with cardiac, eye, or exploratory laparotomy cases
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
