Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float

This is an 18-week contract position.

The position requires working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Required to work every other weekend and to be flexible in scheduling.

The Registered Nurse will float to various departments within the acute care float pool, including Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units. The clinician must demonstrate proficiency in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and possess experience in telemetry nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Float between different units as required by patient care needs.
• Manage and administer medication, including insulin drips and other IV therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting.
• Current RN license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with orthopedics, neuro-stroke, and cardiac telemetry preferred.
