RN - OR Per Diem Department: 7420-Operating Room Employment Type: Part Time Location: 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780 ("HOSPITAL") Reporting To: Glenda Luce Compensation: $53.00 / hour Description The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse is specially trained in hemodynamic monitoring and therapeutic equipment necessary to provide specialized medical and/or surgical nursing care to acute or complex, post procedure/operative patients. Our Values Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team Key Responsibilities Provides safe, age‑appropriate perioperative patient care, including medication administration, IV titrations, invasive lines, monitoring, ventilator management, and emergency response. Assesses and documents patient conditions, recognizes clinical changes, reviews test results, and supports evidence‑based plans of care, pain management, and discharge planning. Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high‑quality care, delegate tasks, and advocate for patient needs. Demonstrates compassionate, culturally sensitive communication while ensuring compliance with nursing standards, infection control, HIPAA, and patient safety. Qualifications include active CA RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, English proficiency, schedule flexibility, adaptability in a fast‑paced environment, and 1 year of critical care/PACU experience or completion of a critical care training course. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California Graduate of an Accredited Professional School of Nursing AHA Basic Life Support AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekend, and holidays Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment One (1) year of critical care or PACU experience or completion of a 6‑week critical care training course Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions This is a full-time position.
