Duties and Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Manage dental and radiographic imaging. Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions. Document dental care services by charting in patient records. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of chairside dental assisting experience. Registered Dental Assistant certification is required (Texas).
