Plant Engineering Manager

Our client is a manufacturer of specialty chemicals used in multiple industries. They currently seek a Plant Engineering Manager for their plant in Albany, GA. Responsibilities Directly supervise all resources in maintenance and act as the Maintenance Manager Analyze and plan maintenance workforce utilization, predictive and preventative maintenance, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency Owner, accountable for all plant assets; responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the capital budget and maintenance costs Function as a project manager for capital projects Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure project plans and work in progress will meet desired outcomes Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements. Prepare engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing controls and automation utilizing knowledge of instrumentation, controls & automation, product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities Requirements B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering 5+ years of plant maintenance, engineering, or project engineering experience in specialty chemicals, chemicals, refining, paper manufacturing, or similar industries Exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Process Controls Systems (DeltaV), HMI and automation control systems Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of leadership, teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility and the company Experience executing pillars of total productive maintenance (TPM) Engineer in Training certification or Professional Engineer certification would be ideal Salary Range: up to $150,000 plus 10-15% yearly bonus potential #J-18808-Ljbffr CPS, Inc.
