Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our acute inpatient rehabilitation team. The role focuses on providing high-quality nursing care to patients who require rehabilitation services due to various conditions, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries.

Position Overview

This position requires an individual with Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience, particularly in environments with high patient acuity. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
• Monitor patient health and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobilization.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in patient education and support to promote recovery.
• Ensure patient safety by responding promptly to needs and maintaining a safe environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 49
• Patient Ratios: 1:7
• Equipment: Mobility aids including ceiling lifts, vital machines, and EHR: EPIC for charting.
• Patient Population: Adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Certification in BLS is required.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environments is required.
• Preferably possess Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience related to patient acuity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours long, with hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. This position requires working every other weekend and participating in holiday rotations.

Attendance and Break Policy

Staff members are expected to adhere to internal attendance policies. A 30-minute break is mandatory, and two 15-minute paid breaks are provided during each 12-hour shift.
