Fund AccountantPOSITION/LEVEL: Fund Accountant FLSA STATUS: ExemptDEPT/OFFICE: Fund Accounting DATE: August 2026JOB SUMMARY AND DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK:The Fund Accountant reviews and analyzes the financial reporting on a property and fund level basis. This position works under the supervision of the Fund Accounting Vice Presidents.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; andAccounting and real estate industry knowledge preferredAny combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the jobLicenses and Certifications:ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Reviews operational monthly financial reporting packages for multiple propertiesMonitors various entity level cash balances and prepares monthly bank reconciliations for various entity bank accountsPrepares lender reporting packages and reviews the calculation of certain debt covenantsProcesses invoices for various entity level expensesCoordinates and communicates the results, findings and recommendations of monthly reviews with various departments including Asset Management and Property ManagementReview and understanding of partnership agreements, loan documents, and leasesAssists with external audits and reviews including preparation of year-end audit workpapersPrepares reconciliations for various entity level balance sheet accountsPrepares journal entries for various entity level activityPrepares and/or reviews quarterly investor reportingMATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED:Microsoft Office SuiteMRI SoftwareInvestranREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of:Financial analysisReal estateWorkpaper preparationAudit procedures and processesSkills:Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skillsThe ability to meet deadlines, accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure & effectiveness under pressure and changing conditionsSelf-motivation, teamwork and collaborationDetail oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solvingExceptional written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office
