About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 1.5 years Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required. Patient Ratio Experience: Experience with a ratio of 1:6 required. License: Valid RN license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required. CPI preferred. Must-Have: Open book EKG test required during orientation. EPIC experience required. Experience floating to various units required. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the Med-Surg/Telemetry specialty. The contract duration is 13 weeks. The nurse will work night shifts. Each shift will be 12 hours long. Candidates must have at least 1.5 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience. They must have experience managing a patient ratio of 1:6. A valid RN license is required. BLS and ACLS certifications must be current and not expiring within 30 days of the start date. CPI certification is preferred, although not mandatory. An open book EKG test will be required during the orientation period. Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory. The role involves providing care to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including infectious diseases, oncology, and cardiac conditions. Nurses will float to other units as needed. Weekend coverage is also required, with 12 weekend shifts during the contract. Candidates should have a rating of 3-4 in all required skills. This position does not accept first-time travelers or local candidates. A supervisory reference is required during the application process. Travelers with one DUI on record may be considered, provided it occurred over a year ago. Blocked scheduling is not permitted. Work history that includes any relevant healthcare facilities will be subject to HR approval for rehire status. The nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
