Registered Nurse/CVICU

Work Schedule Work occurs on weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Staff are required to float within units of equal or lower acuity levels. The position involves 36 hours per week on the night shift. Up to 6 weekend shifts may be scheduled within a 4-week period: Saturday/Sunday for day shifts Friday/Saturday for night shifts Patient Care Patient ratios typically range from 1:1 to 1:2. Qualifications and Skills Preferred qualifications include 2 years of experience in a Cardiac ICU. Required certifications are BLS and ACLS. Essential skills include: IV insertion Telemetry monitoring Ventilator management Swan-Ganz catheter care Conscious sedation Balloon pump operation Pulmonary artery line management Experience with EPIC electronic health records is mandatory. Previous travel nursing experience is preferred. Parking Information Agency staff have the option to purchase parking permits through the campus parking services.
