Service Associate - Make Ready

JOB SUMMARY Preparation of vacant apartment homes for move‑ins and ensuring that established standards are met and apartments are turned promptly. When needed, assist with pool maintenance and grounds keeping. REPORTS TO Community Manager and Lead Maintenance Technician SUPERVISES None ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepare vacant apartment homes for move‑in. Review the make‑ready board and determine actions from the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager. Complete all repairs and replacements required for the unit to be occupied as outlined in the make‑ready checklist. Apply touch‑up and full paints as needed to interior and exterior of apartment homes. Clean out all trash from apartment homes before, during and after make‑ready activity. Inspect completed apartment homes and schedule any necessary follow‑up work before designating the unit as “Ready”. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING DEGREES AND DIPLOMAS High school diploma or equivalent preferred. TRAINING/CERTIFICATES/ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIPS Certifications as required by State and Local Jurisdictions. KNOWLEDGE, SPECIFIC AND ABILITIES Skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user‑moved aids, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices. May be required to handle plumbing repairs, tile work, appliance repair, carpentry repairs, electrical repairs and all facets of apartment make‑ready. Capability to diagnose mechanical, electrical or other malfunctions and make repairs or correct problems. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions and plans. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with vendors, contractors, clients and all levels of employees. Read and write in English to read diagrams, meters, instructions, etc. Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA Requirements, EEOC. Must supply own tools. #J-18808-Ljbffr
