Position Details:

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Lewiston, NY

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8am - 4:30pm

Shift Details: 5 days a week + every other weekend + Holidays

Type: Local Contract but travelers are welcome to apply!

Job Summary:

Prepare and stock exam rooms; ensure necessary supplies and medications are available

Review patient charts and schedules to support smooth, efficient visits

Escort patients, collect vital signs, and document health information

Assist with basic clinical tasks such as lab specimen prep and EKGs

Communicate abnormal findings to providers

Support front desk operations: greet patients, answer phones, verify insurance, and schedule appointments

Maintain accurate patient records and assist with quality control procedures.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

BLS certification (American Heart Association required)

Skilled in clinical and administrative tasks (phlebotomy, aseptic technique, EHR)

Experience:

Minimum 1 years surgical tech experience

License/ Certification:

Medical Assistant Certificate.

BLS certifications required.
