Job Title:Education Program Specialist, Evaluation & Assessment- Education Curriculum Department:Medicine | Education Curriculum The Office of Medical Education in the College of Medicine oversees the development, implementation, evaluation, and accreditation of the Lead.Serve.Inspire. (LSI) curriculum for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. The LSI curriculum integrates foundational science with early patient interaction and longitudinal clinical practice, leveraging the resources of a comprehensive academic health center. The curriculum is structured into three parts across four years: Part One: Clinical Foundations (Years 1-2), Part Two: Clinical Applications (Year 3), and Part Three: Advanced Clinical Management (Year 4). The MD program in the College of Medicine supports a traditional 4-year MD track, an accelerated 3-year primary care track, the medical scientist training program (MSTP), and the community medicine track (CMT). Position Summary: The Education Program Specialist on the Evaluation & Assessment (E&A) team plays a critical role in supporting and overseeing key assessment and evaluation functions in the pre-clerkship and clinical years of the LSI curriculum. This position collaborates with Academic Program Directors, the E&A Faculty Director and Program Manager, other faculty, and staff to ensure effective implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of grading processes, course evaluations, accommodations with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and special projects. Key Responsibilities: Grading Meeting Support: Provides grading meeting coordination and support, including managing all CMT grading meetings; ensuring accurate and timely grade entry and reporting in compliance with program standards; collaborating with faculty and program leadership to resolve grading-related issues and maintain confidentiality. Staff Supervision: Supervise program assistants responsible for proctoring coordination across all parts of the curriculum; serve as a proctor when needed to ensure secure and consistent exam administration; provide training, guidance, and performance oversight to maintain high standards of service. Course Evaluation: Oversee the course evaluation process, ensure timely deployment and accurate data collection; supervise staff work related to evaluations and provide quality assurance; collaborate with faculty and leadership to analyze evaluation data and support continuous improvement. ADA Accommodation Administration: Coordinate with Student Life and Disability Services (SLDS) to implement ADA accommodation for assessments and learning activities; increase support for Part 2 and Part 3 programs, ensuring compliance and equitable access; oversee ADA implementation and provide longitudinal support for students and program leadership; support digital accessibility needs within the program. Special Project Support: Support ExamSoft transition from legacy to enterprise system, ensuring smooth implementation; assist with Part 2 curricular revitalization efforts and CMT expansion initiatives; contribute to curricular adoption of Association of American Medical Colleges Foundational Competencies for Undergraduate Medical Education and other strategic projects as assigned. Departmental Support Provide coordination and administrative support for cross-functional projects and task forces aligned with the Office of Biomedical Education’s mission. Collaborate across teams to provide interim support, especially during peak periods, to ensure smooth program operations. Maintain regular in-person engagement to support learners and ensure continuity of service. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Four years of relevant experience required; four to eight years preferred Preferred Qualifications: Previous administrative experience desired. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, along with technical aptitude, analytical thinking, adaptability, initiative, and attention to detail. The ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and teams is essential to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of the curriculum. Previous supervision experience preferred. Attention to detail and follow through, along with consistently meeting deadlines.
