Marketing Content & Social Media Intern  
This internship is ideal for students interested in social media marketing, content creation, photography, videography, and digital storytelling. 

Position Overview 

The Marketing Content & Social Media Intern will support the marketing team through social media monitoring, content creation, video editing, trend research, reporting, and marketing operations support. This role provides hands-on experience with a nationally recognized consumer brand and offers opportunities to contribute to real-world marketing campaigns, social media content, events, and brand initiatives. 

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about social media and digital content. They enjoy creating videos, capturing photos, identifying trends, and supporting marketing projects from concept through execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

Content Creation & Video Editing 

• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other social platforms. 
• Repurpose long-form content into engaging social media clips. 
• Add captions, graphics, music, and platform-specific elements to enhance content performance. 
• Capture photo and video content for social media, events, product demonstrations, and company initiatives. 
• Assist with filming content featuring products, recipes, team members, and behind-the-scenes moments. 
• Organize and maintain content libraries and digital assets. 
  

Social Media Support & Trend Research 

• Monitor recteq social media channels and identify trending topics, conversations, and engagement opportunities. 
• Research emerging social media trends, creators, content formats, and platform updates. 
• Track competitors and industry content to identify best practices and new ideas. 
• Share trend and content recommendations with the marketing team. 
  

Reporting & Analytics 

• Collect and organize social media performance data. 
• Maintain spreadsheets and reporting documents used by the marketing team. 
• Assist with weekly and monthly performance reporting. 
• Help identify trends, insights, and opportunities based on content performance. 
  

Marketing Operations & Event Support 

• Assist with event preparation, logistics, and attendee materials for trainings and marketing events. 
• Support content audits, image management projects, and asset organization initiatives. 
• Organize marketing assets and maintain content tracking spreadsheets. 
• Assist the marketing team with administrative and special projects as needed. 
  

Qualifications 

Required 

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Business, Film, Photography, or a related field. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. 
• Basic video editing skills. 
• Comfortable capturing photo and video content using a smartphone or camera. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 
  

Preferred 

• Experience creating and editing content for social media platforms. 
• Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Canva, or similar creative tools. 
• Experience with photography and videography through coursework, internships, student organizations, freelance work, or personal projects. 
• Experience working with spreadsheets and organizing data. 
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
