Prep Sports Reporter

The only thing bigger than the Hogs in Arkansas is prep sports. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is seeking a reporter with the hunger to chase down all the big stories in Arkansas ’ high school sports scene. We want a reporter with keen news judgment, storytelling skill and the ability to quickly develop sources covering the high school sports gamut. We are seeking more than routine gamers. We want a reporter who will take charge and own the beat, who will find the stories about the rising stars, the inspirational heroes and coaches gone right and wrong. We’re looking for a digger who will be on top of every every big news development on a beat that will draw attention across the state. If you are energetic, dedicated, passionate, can turn and burn tight, well-written copy on a beat where the demand always runs high, and you have clips to showcase how good you are, we want to hear from you.
