Location: 1221 East Broad St Richmond VA 23219

Duration: 12+ months contract

Local candidates strongly preferred. Candidate must be able to come to Richmond, VA to pick up laptop.

Job Description:

• Create overall application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration and implementations for a particular business solution.

• Lead efforts in defining, documenting and estimating the following for enterprise applications.

• Capture requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, on-prem, hybrid and cloud topologies, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, system inputs and output.

• Collaborate with other IT staff to assess business needs and requirements and translate them into automated solutions

• Produce relevant solution design artifacts including but not limited to technical estimates, conceptual, logical and physical system designs, sequence diagrams, and data models

• Coordinate new system development to ensure it is consistent and well integrated with existing application systems and COTS solutions

• Collaborate with Business areas and cross- functional Enterprise Architects to fully understand business needs and provide strategic consultation

• Partner with architects, other technical team members and to develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs

• Design/Implement Enterprise Security/technology Patterns

• Consult with teams as needed on initiatives and provide tactical direction as well as provide architecture considerations on legacy solutions

Qualifications:

• Experience with SAFe architecture and proven work experience with Agile/Scrum teams.

• Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution level architectural designs.

• Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.

• Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.

• Competency with XML constructs and schemas.

• Confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.

• Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements.

C#, Web Services (WCF, Web API), JQuery, T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.) within both on-premises and cloud environments.

Hands-on experience with Angular / Blazor or any similar front-end technologies.

Hands-on experience with project online API's

Experience with Microservices architecture, Azure Architecture, Domain driven architecture.

Experience with Azure native application development, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container instances, Kubernetes & Containers (Docker), Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus & Event Grid),Azure SQL Database, Azure Web Jobs, SQL Server IaaS, Azure Monitoring and Application Insights

Knowledge and experience with configuration management and automation technologies such as Azure Devops, PowerShell, Terraform, Chef, and ARM Templates

Experience in enterprise-level application design and integration

Required:

8 Years Experience in Azure (cloud-native and hybrid architecture)

8 Years Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) architecture

8 Years Experience with integration architecture and proven work experience with Agile/Scrum teams

Nice to have:

1 Year Experience with Spatial Architecture (ArcGIS specifically)

2 Years Experience working with Azure Data factory, Azure Data Lake

5 Years Experience with Docker and azure cloud services such as AKS, Azure functions, Azure Container Service, Azure App services, Azure API Management

Experience with Microservices architecture, Azure architecture, Domain driven architecture
