Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Bloomington, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The organization is seeking a Step Down Unit registered nurse in the healthcare industry. This role involves providing care for patients with a variety of medical conditions, utilizing advanced equipment, and working within a fast-paced inpatient acute floor environment. Job Details: Position Description: Care for patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, Diabetes, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, neuro/surgical/cardiac conditions, and more. Utilize equipment like EMR systems (EPIC) and medication dispensing systems (Pyxis). Required Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS; Education: Relevant nursing degree; Location: Willing to work at the healthcare provider's facility; Experience: Minimum of 2 years. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Will work three rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Additional Information: First-day orientation with education team and a day of floor orientation. May float to different units based on experience, including ICU or general medical floors. The unit contains 32 beds with all private rooms, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is 3-4 patients per nurse. Dress code is scrubs of any color.
