Medical Support AssistantThis Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) assigned to Environmental Health, C&P, and Employee Health is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support across three key areas: Military Environmental Exposure Registry, Compensation and Pension (C&P) examinations, and Employee Health services. This role requires an understanding of the procedures and protocols associated with each department and ensures seamless coordination and management of associated tasks.Military Environmental Exposure Registry: Coordinate and schedule appointments for environmental health exposure assessments. Serve as a contact for veterans inquiring about environmental health exposures and provide necessary information. Assist in communication between veterans and health care providers related to environmental health concerns.Compensation and Pension (C&P): Schedule and coordinate C&P examinations, ensuring timely appointments. Prepare and manage required documentation for C&P exams. Liaise with veterans and clinical staff to ensure proper communication and efficient processing of C&P claims. Enter and track C&P examination data within the appropriate systems.Employee Health: Schedule and track Employee Health services, including surveillance and annual examinations and necessary follow-ups. Maintain records and documentation pertaining to Employee Health. Provide administrative support regarding employee health inquiries and services. Ensure adherence to Employee Health policies and guidelines.Scheduling and Administrative Support: Utilize VA-approved scheduling software to manage and track appointments across all three key areas. Perform general clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning documents, and managing telephone inquiries. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA and VA regulations.Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pmPay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
