Cardiac Critical Care Physician (MD) AdventHealth Medical Group | Daytona Beach, Florida

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Critical Care Physician to join our expanding cardiovascular ICU team within a high-acuity, multidisciplinary environment. This role is focused exclusively on cardiac critical care and offers the opportunity to care for complex cardiovascular patients across our advanced cardiac programs.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time role dedicated to cardiac critical care
• Key member of a collaborative CVICU team
• Work alongside cardiac surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, heart failure specialists, and perfusion teams
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical innovation initiatives
• Opportunity to practice within nationally recognized cardiac programs and advanced CVICU settings

Manage high-acuity patients including:

• Cardiothoracic surgery
• Mechanical circulatory support: ECMO, LVAD, Impella, IABP
• Vascular surgery patients
• Valvular surgery, CABG, aortic dissection repairs, and thoracic surgery cases

AdventHealth's cardiovascular and thoracic programs are among the busiest and most advanced in the region, with nationally recognized expertise and high-volume cardiac services. This is an excellent opportunity for a cardiac critical care physician who wants to help shape program growth while practicing in a high-acuity tertiary/quaternary care environment.

Candidate Qualifications:

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine with experience in cardiovascular intensivist care unit space with experience managing circulatory assist devices.
• Advanced echocardiography skills preferred (PTE, CCE, or equivalent TEE training/certification)
